TPS have been awarded a contract to carry out a series of staff, visitor and patient surveys at the West Suffolk Hospital, followed by the development of a Travel Plan and Car Park Management Strategy.

Over the next few months TPS will be working closely with the hospital facilities team to carry out surveys, undertake a detailed site audit, hold staff working groups, and stakeholder consultations.

New bus service at NGP

TPS have successfully negotiated the introduction of a new bus service to the Newcastle Great Park.

During the first weeks of operation this service has seen an additional 1,700 passenger journeys made by public transport per week, a clear sign of the improved accessibility and attraction of public transport opportunities offered to both staff and residents based at the development.

PTP roll out at the University of Sheffield

Throughout May TPS have been busy rolling out our Personal Travel Planning services across the campus at the University of Sheffield as part of their integrated transport policy. This has resulted in over 600 requests for travel information and allowed the Universities Energy and Environment Team to promote the wide range of projects and initiatives offered to staff to encourage sustainable travel.

Residential travel plan implementation

TPS continue to work with Persimmon Homes to implement travel plans at a number of sites throughout the north of England.

Throughout April/May we have prepared travel plan marketing campaigns for sites in both Carlisle and Gateshead which have included travel plan websites, resident information packs, and travel plans guides on CDs.

Continued work at the NEXT Head Office

TPS are to continue our long standing association with Next Plc as we assist with the process of reviewing and updating the travel plan strategy for their Head Office in Enderby, Leicester.

TPS have worked with Next since 2002 to develop and implement a range of travel plan measures for their 4000 head office staff.
