Transport Assessment and Travel Plan in Leeds (22.12.08)
TPS have been appointed by Westfield Holdings to prepare a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan in support of proposals for a new 120 bed student and key worker accomodation development in Leeds City Centre.
Transport Assessment and Travel Plan in Morley (02.12.08)
TPS have been appointed by Landmark Developments to prepare a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan in support of proposals for a new 250,000 sq ft business park in Morley, Leeds.
Travel Plan Implementation in Bristol (01.12.08)
TPS have been appointed by King Sturge to implement a travel plan at the Centaurus Retail Park in Bristol. The retail park, which is occupied by organsiations including B&Q, TK Max and Hobby Craft, will benefit from the introduction of a range of initiatives including a new bespoke travel guide and annual staff travel surveys.
Travel Plan Implementation in Carlisle (01.12.08)
TPS have been appointed by Persimmon to implement a travel plan at the Linton Grove development in Carlisle. As part of the travel plan all residents will receive a multimedia travel guide upon first occupation of their new home outlining the range of travel options available to the site. In addition TPS are to negotiate the introduction of a car club to the site, and will provide sales staff with training on the range of initiatives to be introduced.
Personal Travel Planning at the University of Sheffield (24.11.08)
TPS have been appointed by the University of Sheffield to roll out Personal Travel Plans to all existing and new staff across their main campus.
The Personal Travel Plans, which will be delivered in multi-media format, will include a wide range of information on the travel options available to staff, including a personal journey plan by public transport, details of the potential that exists for an individual to car share, walking/cycling distances and times, plus much more.
It is hoped that by targeting new staff on an ongoing basis it will be possible over time to influence travel habits and patterns before they become established, further reducing the the level of single occupancy car journeys.
TPS will be carrying out the entire process on behalf of the University, from initial staff surveys right through to the development and delivery of the PTP's.
Leeds Festival 2009 (17.11.08)
TPS have been appointed by Festival Republic to prepare the Transport Management Strategy for the 2009 Leeds Festival at Bramham Park which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend. The Leeds Festival is a three-day music festival held on a green field site, attracting an audience size of approximately 70,000.
TPS invited to present at the Sheffield Area Travel Plan forum (22.10.08)
TPS were invited by the Highways Agency and Sheffield City Council to present at todays Sheffield Area Travel Plan Forum. TPS delivered a presentation to local businesses on the subject of car park management strategies, covering areas such as means based permit allocations and pricing structures.
Another busy few months at TPS (20.10.08)
Whilst many businesses appear to be feeling the effects of the credit crunch, it’s been another busy few months at TPS. In addition to the continued work at major sites such as Thorpe Park and Newcastle Great Park, TPS have been heavily involved in various new projects including the development of a new arena in Leeds, and the re-development of Clay Cross Town Centre.
Also completed this month were TA’s and Travel Plans for numerous smaller sites, including mixed use developments at Water Lane and Calls Wharf, Leeds, the Cubic Business Centre, also in Leeds, and the Murston Business Centre in Ashford.
Staff and business travel survey (05.10.08)
TPS recently completed the process of developing, implementing and analysing a survey of staff and businesses at a diverse and wide spread business park in the north of Leeds to investigate lunch time travel patterns and identify the need for additional local facilities.
