Today the new TPS website was launched to provide interested viewers with a further insight into our consultancy, the services we offer, and the experience we are able to benefit from.

TA and travel plan at Calls Wharf (22.02.08)

TPS have been commissioned to develop a TA and Travel Plan for a new mixed use development at Calls Wharf in Leeds. Further detail to follow.

Eco Towns go public (19.02.08)

In his drive to secure a rapid increase in affordable housing Gordon Brown has invited submissions for ‘Eco-Town’ developments across the country. As part of a small development team TPS are commissioned to advise on the formulation of two of these submissions, one for 9,000 and the other for 15,000 dwellings. This commission will draw upon a depth of skills and experience to raise these exciting projects from conception to masterplans built upon realistic strategies for future sustainable transport infrastructure. TPS are charged with identifying and pursuing key stakeholder support and involvement in all means of travel including road, rail, bus, cycling and walking.

Although the Government expect early output these projects are of course far from short term. With development programmes of 10-15 years plus TPS are looking forward to a lengthy and progressive involvement in these rare and challenging opportunities.

Planning approval for luxury apartments (14.02.08)

Life Homes this week secured planning approval for the development of 9 luxury apartments on Harrogate Road in north Leeds with the assistance of TPS. The apartments, which will be served by underground car parking, will each have three bedrooms and are to be targeted at the top end of the market.

PTP at E.ON UK (08.02.08)

As part of our continuing work with E.ON UK, TPS have been advising on the introduction of a personal travel planning initiative to be trialled at the Sherwood Park site in Nottingham. If successful, the scheme which will primarily be based around communication by e-mail, will help to guide the introduction of further schemes across the UK.

TPS represent NEXT in Leicester (17.01.08)

This week TPS represented NEXT plc by delivering two presentations in Leicester on the travel plan work carried out at its head office in Enderby. On Tuesday the presentation was to an audience of other local businesses at an event organised by Blaby District Council to facilitate a joined up approach to travel planning in the district, whilst on Wednesday TPS presented at the Leicester County Council Accessibility Forum.
