At TPS we are fortunate to be able to provide consultancy services to large number of clients, irrespective of the project. To TPS, size doesn’t matter; whether it be a 1,200 – home development in Newcastle or a 12-home development in Leeds, we are pleased to be able to provide highways and development planning advice to our clients with a view to securing their planning consent.
Having prepared our technical responses to Leeds City Council’s concerns, and given subsequent discussions with officers, we recently helped to secure a consent for a small development of 12 new homes on a constrained site in Micklefield. Irrespective of the size the development, the access, the road layout and road safety issues all need to be considered and the relevant standards applied. At Micklefield, against stiff opposition from officers, our technical submission addressed road standards relative to the Leeds City Council Design Guide – particularly in respect of shared surface provision, swept path analysis using Leeds City Council’s specific vehicle standards, demonstrating the suitability of the new road, and we overcame the site’s visibility constraints to the satisfaction of the council.
We are pleased that, with our assistance, technical application and persistence our client, Mandale Homes, can now progress with their preferred residential scheme.
