Corporate Relocation Planning

When considering a corporate relocation issues such as space planning and fit out are high up the agenda. Our experience would suggest however that staff travel arrangements aren’t.

Corporate Relocation

  • How will staff access your new site?
  • Will you have enough parking spaces?
  • Will the move result in high levels of staff turnover?

A corporate relocation can have a major impact on the daily lives of your staff with the commute considered by most to be part of the working day.

A travel plan is the ideal business tool for mitigating as much as possible the impact of a corporate relocation. Not only does the implementation of a travel plan illustrate to staff that their travel arrangements are of importance to the business, but a period of change also presents the best opportunity to influence travel patterns for the better.

Some examples of our work

Bank of America Merrill Lynch

In order to assess the impact of a proposed corporate relocation TPS undertook a detailed study of individual staff travel options both before and after the move. The process concentrated not only on the distance implications for staff commuting but also the impact on their ability to continue travelling by the same mode of transport.

The findings illustrated that for many the relocation would mean that they could no longer travel by sustainable modes and therefore we were able to accurately assess the likely increase in parking demand. This information proved invaluable to the client as they sought to identify suitable premises for the relocation, and prevented unforeseen issues arising further down the line.
